A massive refit for a VOLVO 65 racing boat, started in September 2022 at the SANGIORGIO MARINE shipyards. After removing the old films and graphics, a thorough restoration of the entire vessel was carried out, stripping it down to bare carbon before reapplying the entire AwlGrip painting cycle with matte base and lacquer finishes. A long and meticulous refit aimed at reducing the weight of the materials used without sacrificing the aesthetic aspect.
Once the work was completed, it was a source of pride for us to see the result of our efforts parading alongside the unparalleled AMERIGO VESPUCCI, proudly bearing the name of our city on the hull, as a project sponsor together with the Italian Navy and ENEL, to compete in the prestigious Ocean Race.
